Buyer resources

The documentation pack that travels with every order.

Certificates matter less than the records behind them. This page lists every document we issue, the standard it is written against, what it actually contains, and how long we keep the underlying data so you can come back to it years later.

Standard pack

What is in the box, and what is in the file.

The documents below ship as a signed PDF set with every consignment, and upload directly to your supplier portal where you run one. Nothing here is optional or chargeable.

Material test certificate

EN 10204 type 3.1, or 3.2 on request

Issued against the heat or melt that produced the stock, with the chemical composition and mechanical properties as measured — not as specified. Our own spectrometer result is attached alongside the mill’s, because the two do not always agree and you should see both.

Dimensional report

Against your ballooned drawing

Every characteristic on the print, reported as a measured value with its nominal and limits, in the order you ballooned them. We do not issue pass marks; a tick tells you nothing about how close a feature was to the edge of tolerance.

Instrument
Zeiss CMM, MPE 0.9 µm
Format
PDF and CSV

Certificate of analysis

Chemicals, amino acids and resins

Lot-specific results against your acceptance limits where you have given us any, and against the published specification where you have not. Assay, moisture, ash, specific rotation, heavy metals and the microbiological panel, each with the method used.

Batch and fermenter run
Retained sample
Thirty-six months

Dielectric test record

IEC 60243 and IEC 60626-2

Breakdown voltage, tensile strength and thickness for each production lot of insulation material, measured on our own test sets from samples pulled across the web width rather than from one convenient edge.

Thermal endurance
IEC 60216, annually

Certificate of conformity

Signed by the plant quality manager

A statement against the drawing revision and purchase order actually shipped, naming the revision rather than referring vaguely to the latest. If a deviation was agreed, it is named on the certificate with the approval reference, not buried in an email.

Revision and PO line
Deviations
Listed explicitly

Substance declarations

RoHS, REACH, POPs, PFAS, CMRT

Issued from our own laboratory screening and accredited annual testing, not copied from an upstream supplier’s letter. Conflict minerals come on the current CMRT template with the smelter list attached.

Screening
XRF at incoming
Confirmation
Accredited lab, yearly

On request

Documents we prepare when a programme needs them.

These take real work to produce, so we agree them at quotation rather than discovering the requirement at launch. Ask early and they cost nothing extra.

How long we keep the underlying data

A certificate is only as good as the record behind it. Ours stay retrievable long after the paperwork has been filed and forgotten at both ends.

Getting the documents

Ask for redacted samples before you place an order — a real certificate from a real lot with the customer details removed tells you more than a template ever will.

  • Sample pack for your division, sent within two working days of asking.
  • Portal upload to your own supplier system where you operate one, in your naming convention.
  • Reissue of historic documents against a part number and date range, within five working days.
  • Your own format where you have a mandated template, agreed at quotation.
