Vehicle Parts

Automotive parts developed and produced under IATF 16949, with the launch discipline that programme timing actually demands.

Development and manufacture

Automotive work is judged on launch and on parts per million, and both are won during development rather than recovered afterwards. Our engineers work from the customer’s design record through DFMEA, tooling simulation, process FMEA and control plan, and every characteristic the customer marks as significant is tied to a measurement and a reaction plan before the first production run. PPAP goes in at level 3 as standard.

Casting, stamping, machining, welding, moulding and harness assembly run in our own plants, with Mexico serving North American programmes and Asia serving the rest. Because the same part is often tooled in two of our plants, a programme has a documented switch-over route if a lane or a tariff line moves.

Product scope

Pistons and cylinder block castings

Cast and forged aluminium pistons, plus grey iron and aluminium block and head castings, machined and leak tested.

Stamped body panels

Doors, hoods, fenders and structural reinforcements on progressive and transfer dies, in mild, HSLA and hot-stamped boron steel.

Brake discs and pads

Ventilated and solid discs in grey iron and composite construction, with low-metallic, ceramic and NAO friction formulations.

Wiring harnesses

Engine, body and battery harnesses built to IPC/WHMA-A-620, with crimp pull-off testing and full electrical verification.

Headlamp housings

Injection-moulded PC lenses and PP housings, hot-plate and laser welded, with adhesion and thermal cycling verification.

Interior and exterior mouldings

Dashboards, door trim, bumpers and cladding in PP, ABS and TPO, painted, grained or film-laminated.

Exhaust manifolds

Cast SiMo and fabricated stainless manifolds, thermally cycled and pressure tested before dispatch.

Held in production

What the line holds, and how we know.

These are figures sustained across a production run rather than a best-case first article, each with the instrument or test that produces it.

Programmes often cross these lines. Where a part touches more than one of them, a single engineer owns the whole thing rather than handing it between departments.
